Here Comes Baby Noah

What do you do when you are pregnant and want to rent a margarita machine? You throw a fiesta baby shower! Yes of course there was a non alcoholic option, I went with the red slushy because I can not drink and shoot, not a good combination.

I am a little bit obsessed with everything about this party. The colors, the love, the fun, the margaritas! Oh and the new mom and dad, they are going to be the coolest parents to baby girl Noah. I know, adorable right? Baby girl Noah, ugh, so cute!

I know what you are thinking, look a that beautiful bump, Oh and that ring! I know, its the prettiest ring I have ever seen! I can't help it, its the wedding photographer in me!

I photographed this couple this past December, for Christmas photos. They were amazing and I asked "When will we be doing a maternity shoot?" They said "Oh not for a few years!" False. 7 months Ray, 7 months is when! I'm not complaining, they aren't either.

What a beautiful mamma.

The details of this party were so fun! Baby Pinatas, hand painted cakes, and the cutest little favors ever!

This little guy was my favorite.

I cannot wait to meet you baby Noah. Maybe I will get to see you smash your first cake, or photograph your tiny toes! Until then!

Pancakes and Pillow Fights!

Oh how I love the honesty in this shoot.  Messy hair, real smiles, real joy. Real life. Like, really real. I'm talking no makeup Real. Sometimes bravery looks like wearing a cape and saving people from danger. Sometimes it looks like letting someone capture the honest and real you. Thank you mamma Erika for letting me capture you and your beautiful family just as you are. Beautiful, fun, and loving.

We started off with yummy breakfast pancakes. This little one just could not wait to get her hands on them. She had been waiting patiently all morning.

Note her cute little glass? Just seconds before it was in a tiny little pieces. Thats life. Life with toddlers, life with kids.  Broken glasses.

But this...this is life with kids. Big laughs, big smiles, big love. Big feelings.

Really big love.

Love so big it hurts.

I didn't  say "say cheese" one time. There was a lot I didn't do. I didn't pose. I didn't edit out any so called imperfections. Anything I would have added would have actually been taking away.

And glitter, always glitter. Because there is always a reason to celebrate, like maybe when...

There is going to be one more amazing addition to your family! Hooray!

Thank you Garcia family for allowing me to preserve these moments for you!

The Almond Orchard Adventure

A little background. I saw these amazing orchards on a few inspiration boards and I fell in love.

A little more background. Once I have an idea in my head, I have to do it. HAVE to. Somehow I thought to myself, a road trip 3 hours away with my toddler was going to be magical. We bought props, dresses, flowers, bracelets, lollipops, a bunny mask and cape. The more things we bought for this shoot the more magical it became. I was fully convinced she was going to be as into this as I was. I mean we bought a bunny cape! Thank you KK!

Fast forward through the wildly fun road trip where we explored, jammed to mixed tapes, sang some Bieber at the top of our lungs and had our hair in the wind for three hours. Just kidding, we spent three hours looking for youtube videos to keep my toddler from freaking out. But then, we arrived!

It was gorgeous! GORGEOUS!

Fynn needed some immediate bribery so we used our big guns early.

She was about that.

She loved it at first, running down the rows just as I imagined.

I really am in love with this place as much as I thought I would be! This isn't even in full bloom. They were still pretty green, and when they do bloom they are only in their full white, full flower, cloud stage for a few weeks!

Note: Do you see a cardigan, a cute matching bracelet? Oh, no? That's because she hated it all.

I tried to explain that mommy would really appreciate some cooperation and needed the images for my spring sessions, she said No. Heck no. Never.

My husband gave it a ridiculously good go.

Apparently we used all her patience on the drive. She was done.

So I had KK strike a pose for a little preview of what we could do with a subject that would be still for two seconds. Imagine the possibilities!

I will be back Orchards. This little flower is a tiny preview of what these tress will soon be covered in. I can't wait! Road trip anyone?

I should note. We got permission to be in the orchards, they are private property and you enter at your own risk.
